Scelzi Sets Track Speed Record for No. 5 on Fri. in Sonoma

SONOMA, Calif. (Aug. 1, 2003) - Gary Scelzi proved once again that the
Oakley Time Bomb Dodge Stratus is a rocket, as he set the track speed record
at 318.92 mph tonight in the second round of qualifying, while claiming the
No. 5 spot with a 4.849-second elapsed time.

Scelzi's first qualifying run today was also strong, coming in at
5.035/304.25, which was good for No. 4 at that time.

"Outstanding," he smiled. "Last weekend we qualified No. 1, this weekend
we're right in the hunt. We're running well. We made two good runs again,
top speed, love that to death. Dodge people, can't thank you enough. Oakley,
we're going to try to get you a win. We're just going to try to stay
consistent tomorrow and do the best we can with what we've got to work with
and what we've got to work with right now is a lot."
