Acura Posts Strong July Sales - Up 5.9 Percent
TORRANCE, Calif., Aug. 1, 2003 -- July sales of Acura Division vehicles totaled 15,782, up 5.9 percent compared to last year, making it the third best Acura sales month on record according to American Honda Motor Co., Inc. Acura Division sales for the year have totaled 97,150.
Strong demand for the MDX luxury SUV with sales of 4,604 pushed Acura light truck sales to 32,064 for the year, up 17.5 percent compared to 2002. The all-new 2004 TSX sports sedan sales reached 2,938, representing the highest monthly total for TSX in only its fourth month on sale. The TSX features a 2.4-liter 200-horsepower engine, choice of 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission, drive-by-wire throttle, a race-bred suspension and a comprehensively equipped interior.
Sales of the RSX sports coupe sales totaled 2,856, while July sales of the Acura NSX supercar were up more than 60 percent compared to 2002.
