8:43 AM – The field has formed on the false grid for the first of two
30-minute qualifying sessions.
8:43 AM – The first qualifying session will be for race one of the Mario
Andretti Grand Prix at Road America doubleheader, which will commence
Saturday, August 2, at 3:45 p.m.
8:50 AM- Cars roll on track under overcast conditions.
8:52 AM – The track is damp, after heavy rain overnight.
8:54 AM – This is the first time the Zetec cars have run on the 4.0-mile
road course, with older Ford Pinto power plant being used last time the

9:00 AM – In pre-race testing on Thursday No. 28 Pecorari was quickest.
