Lear Corporation Announces Financial Appointments
Chip Mower Named Vice President, Finance - Global Purchasing; James L. Murawski Joins Lear as Vice President - Audit Services
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., July 31 -- Lear Corporation today announced the appointment of Chip Mower to vice president, finance - Global Purchasing. James L. Murawski, formerly a vice president and controller with Collins & Aikman Corporation, joins Lear to succeed Mower as vice president - Audit Services.
As vice president of Audit Services, Murawski will be responsible for ensuring that appropriate controls are in place and being observed at all levels of the organization. He will report to Lear Vice Chairman, James H. Vandenberghe. In his new role, Mower will oversee the financial operations related to Lear's global purchasing activities. Mower will report to Steven L. Hayworth, vice president - Global Purchasing. Both appointments are effective immediately.
Mower joined Lear in September 2000 as head of Audit Services. Before joining Lear, he held various finance and operating positions with Federal- Mogul Corporation and General Electric Company. Mower earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Vermont and a master of business administration degree in general management from the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He is also a graduate of General Electric's Financial Management Program.
Murawski received both a bachelor of science degree in accounting and a master of business administration degree from the University of Detroit, as well as a master of science degree in taxation from Walsh College. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants; and the Institute of Certified Management Accountants.
