Workscape Wins Prestigious 2003 RealWare Award; Company Cited for Excellence and Innovation Along with Client General Motors, Marking Fourth Such Honor for the Two Organizations

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--July 31, 2003--Workscape, Inc., a proven provider of benefits and workforce management solutions, today announced that the company and its client, General Motors Corp. , have won a 2003 RealWare Award in the category of Best Enterprise Portal Application. The RealWare Awards, now in their tenth year, recognize outstanding achievements in leading-edge IT solutions. This year's RealWare Awards were presented to nine vendors and their customers on July 15, 2003 in San Mateo, California by CMP Media, LLC, publishers of Intelligent Enterprise and Transform Magazine.

This award marks the fourth such honor for General Motors and Workscape's joint efforts in the design and development of GM's employee portal. In 2002, both companies, as well as Sun Microsystems, were honored with a "Best Practices Award" from the Delphi Group and with DCI's Portal Excellence Award. In April 2003, Workscape and GM were presented with an iForce Partner Excellence Award from Sun Microsystems honoring "Best Sun(TM) ONE Enterprise Software Integration."

The GM portal, known as "mySocrates," is a hosted, enterprise-wide corporate portal that has enhanced the online communication, education and work environment of General Motors' employees. A dedicated team from Workscape collaborated onsite at GM in Detroit, MI, beginning in 2000, in order to scope and design the project. The resulting portal integrates Workscape's workforce management applications, GM corporate information and select third-party content into one consolidated online resource enabled with anywhere, anytime access for more than 190,000 salaried and hourly employees in the U.S. Launched in late 2001, "mySocrates" today continues to evolve in functionality and grow in its scope.
