Delphi Safety & Interior Systems Names New Adrian Plant Manager

TROY, Mich., July 31 -- Rebecca S. Farless has been appointed plant manager for the Delphi Safety & Interior Systems' Adrian, Mich., manufacturing facility, effective Aug. 1, 2003. She succeeds Steven J. Galle who recently was named plant manager for the Delphi Safety & Interior Systems manufacturing site in Columbus, Ohio.

"Becky has a strong background in both product and manufacturing engineering as well as in management," said James A. Bertrand, president of Delphi Safety & Interior Systems. "She not only has a proven track record, she also will provide the Adrian operations with the leadership necessary to build on the continuous improvement process already in place."

Most recently, Farless was business line executive for the division's Integrated Closure Systems Business Team, a position she held since 2000. Becky began her career with Delphi in 1984, taking on assignments in manufacturing, product and systems engineering. In 1995, she became the superintendent of manufacturing engineering at the Adrian facility. In 1997, she was named product team leader/engineering group manager for the door module group. Farless holds a master of science in manufacturing management from General Motors Institute and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

Delphi Safety & Interior Systems' Adrian plant produces instrument panels and other injection molded automotive components.
