Offering of Renault shares by the French State
Paris, France, July 28 -- JPMorgan launches a placement of 24.2 million shares of Renault, representing 8.5% of the capital, via an accelerated bookbuilding, on behalf of the French State. The offering size may be increased by another 2.4 million shares in the event the over-allotment option is exercised.
Following the placement and the employee offering that will follow, the French State will own around 15% of Renault's capital, which corresponds to its medium term holding objective as Renault's significant shareholder, contributing to the stability of Renault's capital.
The shares are being offered between EUR48.65 and EUR49.15.
The offering is structured as a private placement to institutional qualified investors outside the United States, and as a 144A placement with Qualified Institutional Buyers in the United States.
JPMorgan is acting as Global Coordinator and Joint Bookrunning Lead Manager, alongside Deutsche Bank and Société Générale, acting as Joint Bookrunning Lead Managers.
