Nissan eyes S Korean market

TOKYO July 28, 2003; Japan Today reported that Nissan Motor Co, which belongs to the Renault group of France, is considering selling models in South Korea as early as next year, a Japanese business daily reported Monday.

Since Renault Samsung Motors, a Renault subsidiary, already manufactures and markets compact and subcompact sedans in South Korea, Nissan intends to offer other models there, with luxury models and sport-utility vehicles seen as the most likely candidates, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun said. (Kyodo News)
