Orbit Racing - Sonoma race

Orbit Racing moved from the back to the front of the GT field during the
American Le Mans Series race at Infineon (Sears Point) Raceway in Sonoma, Calif.,
then settled in the middle. Leo Hindery and Peter Baron finished seventh in
the No. 43 YES Network Porsche 911 GT3 RS and Joe and Jay Policastro were ninth
in the No. 42 Classic Industries Porsche. The 2.53-mile road course offered
a strong challenge to the international field.

Baron started the No. 43 car 17th on the 18-car GT grid and moved up 15
positions to second during his first 90-minute stint. He dropped back to fifth
before handing off to Leo Hindery, who held sixth position. Baron drove the
final stint and finished seventh, after a hit from a prototype car tore the
passenger door off the car.

Jay Policastro started the No. 42 car 12th in class. His father Joe drove
the second stint and Jay returned for the final run. The pair kept the car in
the top 10 throughout the two-hour 45-minute race, despite losing track
position when they pitted one lap before a full-course caution. They finished ninth.

Peter Baron "The race was an absolute blast, one of the best times I've had
in the car in a long time. Moving up from where we started to second was just
a complete riot driving. The yellows [caution periods] worked our way and
everything went well other than a minor incident when an Audi decided to collect
me, but that's racing. This track is a giant accident waiting to happen,
with all the cars and walls and no straightaways. To come out of this with a
seventh and a car that will be rolling into Trois-Rivières, we're happy with
that."

Leo Hindery "It was a pretty good day. We started second-last out of 18 and
finished seventh, with a door knocked off. We could have been top-five, but
I don't think we could have been better than top-five today. It was a perfect
day weather-wise, the car was really spectacular and the Michelin tires were
just unbelievable today. We look forward to [the next race in
Trois-Rivières,] Canada."

Jay Policastro "We finished ninth in class, which is great; we were shooting
for a top-10. Our car held together and as usual the Orbit crew did a
fantastic job. My dad had some great laps in the middle session which gave me a
chance to settle down and run a good pace. A lot of credit goes to him for
keeping us in the game."

Joe Policastro "Jay did an outstanding job in the beginning and I tried to
hold it in the middle. I got a little better on the lines, being our first
time here at the track. After I got the lines down, I was able to start knocking
some time off. We came in one lap too early - we pitted and the yellow came
out the next and we lost about a lap and half. The car ran super, the team
did an outstanding job and it was a great weekend for being here the first time."
