Join NHRA Pro Stock Bike Riders on Caravan

From Infineon Raceway to Pyramid Brewery & Alehouse

Evening Highlighted by Screening of Cult Classic 'Heart Like a Wheel'

SONOMA, Calif. (IMMEDIATE RELEASE) - Motorcyclists are invited to join top
riders on the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series Pro Stock Bike circuit on a
cruise from Infineon Raceway to Pyramid Brewery and Alehouse in Berkeley on
Saturday, Aug. 2, for "Pro Stock Bike Night."

Defending three-time Pro Stock Bike champion Angelle Savoie (U.S. Army),
current points leader Geno Scali (Team Trix-Tex) and Steve Johnson (K&N
Performance Filters) are all tentatively scheduled to participate in the
35-mile ride, which will be escorted by the California Highway Patrol. The
event is part of the FRAM Autolite Nationals weekend at Infineon Raceway,
Aug. 1-3.

Riders will navigate some of the Bay Area's most picturesque and scenic
roads on their journey, which will culminate at Pyramid Brewery (901 Gilman
Street, 510-527-9090). Please meet at Gate 1 no later than 5:15; the ride
will depart promptly at 5:30. All that's needed is a motorcycle, helmet and
a full tank of gas for your memorable ride.

Once at Pyramid Brewery, the party really begins. Pyramid will provide a
feast of barbecued hot dogs and hamburgers for a nominal charge, and there
is a tentative plan for a live remote by a Bay Area radio station. The
riders will also take part in an autograph session.

The highlight of the evening will be the screening of "Heart Like a Wheel,"
the 1983 cult classic that depicts the story of Shirley Muldowney, who
became the first female to win an NHRA POWERade championship, and the first
competitor to win a Top Fuel championship more than once. The movie will
appear on Pyramid's massive 40-foot outdoor screen.

The festivities begin at Pyramid at 6:30 with the arrival of the motorcycle
caravan from Infineon Raceway. If you cannot participate in the caravan,
plan on being at Pyramid to welcome the convoy as it motors into the parking
lot. For more information, call 800-870-RACE, ext. 122.
