Delphi Announces New Plant Managers for Ohio Operations
TROY, Mich., July 24 -- Delphi Corp. recently named new plant managers for three of its operations in Ohio, according to James A. Bertrand, president of Delphi Safety & Interior Systems and Automotive Holdings Group.
Jerry Gutberlet has been promoted to plant manager for Delphi's Moraine, Ohio, AHG operations. Thomas J. Green, formerly plant manager for Delphi Safety & Interior Systems' Columbus, Ohio, facility, has been appointed to replace Gutberlet as plant manager for Delphi's Needmore Road AHG operations in Dayton, Ohio.
Steven Galle succeeds Green as plant manager of Delphi Safety & Interior Systems' Columbus, Ohio, facility. All appointments are effective immediately.
Green and Gutberlet report to Scott Mitchell, general director of manufacturing for Delphi Automotive Holdings Group. Galle reports to John Holden, general director of worldwide operations for Delphi Safety & Interior.
Gutberlet began his career with Delphi in 1983. In addition to his assignments as a plant manager, Gutberlet has held positions as a project engineer, general supervisor and assistant plant manager at Delphi's operations.
Gutberlet holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and general stress analysis from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a master of business administration from the University of Rochester.
Green began his career with the former GM Packard Electric division (now Delphi Packard Electric Systems) in 1972. Prior to his assignment in Columbus, he was plant manager for Delphi's Vandalia operations. He has held numerous management positions in manufacturing, including an assignment as a plant manager for a GM of Canada plant in Windsor, Ontario, from 1992-1995. Green holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Penn State University and a law degree from the University of Akron.
Galle's most recent assignment was as plant manager of Delphi Safety & Interior's Adrian, Mich., facility. Prior to that assignment, he was operations manager for the Columbus plant. Galle began his career at Delphi Interior & Lighting Systems' Vandalia, Ohio, facility in 1990. Over his career, he has held management positions in manufacturing and engineering at Delphi plants in Vandalia and Anderson, Ind. Galle has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Kettering University and master of business administration from the University of Dayton.
