Kevin Delaney Joins Quanex Corporation as Vice President - General Counsel

HOUSTON, July 23 -- Quanex Corporation announced today that Kevin Delaney has joined the Company as Vice President - General Counsel. He will report directly to Raymond A. Jean, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Quanex.

In his new position, Delaney is responsible for providing legal guidance for Quanex and leading the corporate human resources functions, including benefits and compensation, employee relations and crisis communications.

Delaney brings to Quanex significant experience in business leadership, and corporate general counsel and compliance. Before joining Quanex, Delaney served as Chief Counsel for Trane Residential Systems, a business of American Standard Companies Inc., in Tyler, Texas. Mr. Delaney also served as Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary of American Standard Inc. and provided counsel to Trane's international operations. Prior to that, he was Vice President - General Counsel for GS Roofing Products Company and Senior Attorney for GTE Directories Corporation.

Delaney graduated from Austin College with a B.A. in Political Science and received his J.D. from Baylor University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Texas and is a member of the American Corporate Counsel Association.
