BAX Global Opens Prague Office, Launches Full Service Operation in Czech Republic
IRVINE, Calif., July 22 -- BAX Global, a leading supply chain and transportation solutions company, has opened BAX Global spol. s r.o., a full-service office in Prague, Czech Republic.
The office, which began operations this month, is a full service supplier to BAX's global and local customers, servicing the entire Czech Republic.
"Our new Prague office marks the third new BAX affiliate operation to open in the region in the last two years, reflecting the growth of central Europe," said Kevin Mellor, president, BAX Global Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The Czech Republic has 10 million people and is considered one of the most vibrant business centers in the region. The country is a membership candidate to the European Union and is likely to join next year. "This is a very promising market and it is important for BAX to have an operation based in this dynamic capital," said Mellor.
Earlier BAX start-ups in the region were stations in Austria and Hungary.
The Prague office, with eight employees, is headed by Pavel Novak, the station's new managing director. He reports to Albert Klamert, managing director, Austria and Eastern Europe, based in Vienna. The region is managed by Michael Dieckmann, BAX vice president, central Europe.
