CSK Stores Provide Use of Code Readers to Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Customer Base

TEMPE, Ariz., July 21 -- Auto parts retailer CSK Auto, Inc. , which operates more than 1,100 stores in 19 states under the Checker, Schuck's, and Kragen brands, and AutoXray, the leading provider of cost-effective automotive diagnostic scanners, announced that starting today, all Checker Auto Parts and Schuck's Auto Supply stores* will be launching the CSK Auto F.A.S.T. program, which stands for Free Automotive Systems Test. CSK stores will offer complimentary use of AutoXray's new advanced code reader. The customer can come to any Checker or Schuck's store throughout the western United States and check out an advanced code reader by securing it with their credit card. This new strategy for CSK is an added value for the consumer.

With an EZ-READ users can access the same information dealers use on '83 and newer Domestic and '96 and newer Import vehicles. Comprehensive features include: show trouble and pending codes in English, resets check engine light.

Customers will be able to simply plug the code reader into their vehicle and easily discern what repairs are necessary.
