Hospitality Technology Magazine Covers Xybernaut Mobile/Wearable Computers; Hilton Hotels Applications Discussed; Xybernaut Highlighted in Mobile Hotel Front Office Solution

FAIRFAX, Va.--July 16, 2003--Xybernaut(R) Corporation, specifically its Atigo and MA V mobile/wearable computing products, were recently highlighted in a news feature article by Hospitality Technology magazine. The article was written by Curt Harler, contributing editor, focused on how computing technologies are helping hotels and hospitality organizations work more efficiently and effectively.
For example, the article's initial reference to Xybernaut technologies states, "The system was used primarily to line-bust -- cutting long lines that sometimes formed as guests registered at the front desk."
The article also includes information directly from Hilton Hotels--one of Xybernaut's existing hotel/hospitality customers. The following excerpt discusses the ease-of-use of the wireless connectivity and the manner in which the Xybernaut products are used:
"When a large crowd is expected, the hotel designates a group check-in area where guests are greeted by a customer-service representative with a wearable computer that includes a touchscreen and the Cameo 3 PEP mobile printer. Agents use the printers to encode room keys, swipe credit cards and print necessary documentation to expedite check-in. The hotel uses a wireless network to connect the mobile check-in agent with the main reservation system."
This next excerpt (a quote attributed to Tom Dillon, manager of hotel management systems at Hilton) highlights Hilton's impressions of the Atigo -- "A lot of it is aesthetics," Dillon says. "Hilton has already begun to use the system at one location where aesthetics truly matter, the Waldorf=Astoria in New York City."
