UAW to Open Auto Industry Talks

UAW members will begin negotiations for new contracts this week at DaimlerChrysler, Delphi, Ford, General Motors and Visteon. Current contracts at each of the five companies expire at midnight, September 14.

Photo opportunities for the opening handshakes and media availabilities at each company are scheduled as follows:

Wednesday, July 16

DaimlerChrysler, at Chrysler Group Headquarters, 1000 Chrysler Drive, Auburn Hills, Mich.

Note: Media parking will be available at the Walter P. Chrysler museum, and a shuttle bus will be available to company headquarters.

Thursday, July 17
