DaimlerChrysler Corporation and the United Auto Workers Officially Open 2003 Contract Negotiations on July 16

WHAT: The Chrysler Group and UAW will officially open the 2003 contract negotiations on July 16 at Chrysler Group headquarters.

WHO: Dieter Zetsche, Chrysler Group President and CEO, John Franciosi, Chrysler Group Senior Vice President -- Employee Relations; Ron Gettelfinger, President, UAW International, and Nate Gooden, UAW Vice President and Director, DaimlerChrysler Department.

  WHEN:  Wednesday, July 16, 2003.

  *  10 a.m. (no Q&A) in Conference Room 1A.

* 11 a.m., press availability with Ron Gettelfinger and Nate Gooden will be in the Amphitheater.

  (Refreshments will be available beginning at 9 a.m.)

  WHERE:  Chrysler Group Headquarters, Auburn Hills (directions below.)

From the South: North on I-75, to exit #78, which will take you right into the complex.

From the North: South on I-75, to exit #78.

From the East: West on M-59 to I-75 north; take the first exit (exit #78) and proceed into the complex.

From the West: East on M-59 to I-75 north; take exit #78 and proceed into the complex.

After exiting, proceed to the end of the ramp. Turn right at the first light, pass the parking structures on the left and proceed through the next light. Continue to the next (third) light and turn right, then immediately left into the parking lot of the Walter P. Chrysler Museum. From there, you will be transported to and from the Negotiations Opening event.
