LE MANS WINNING PETERSEN MOTORSPORTS/WHITE LIGHTNING RACING HONORED BY
VEGAS PORSCHE CLUB

LAS VEGAS, July 9, 2003 - 24 Hour of Le Mans winners Petersen
Motorsports/White Lightning Racing will add to its growing list of
accolades with a special celebration in the team's honor on Saturday,
July 19. The Las Vegas Region of the Porsche Club of America (PCA) will
hold a special reception at the team's North Las Vegas race shop to
celebrate the GT class victory at the world's most famous sports car
race. The event will also act as a sending-off party as the Michael
Petersen-owned American Le Mans Series (ALMS) team prepares to compete
in its first post-Le Mans race at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif. on
July 27th. The reception will take place from 10 am to 1 pm (local time)
and is open to all PCA members wishing to celebrate the team's victory.
Team manager and White Lightning Racing owner Dale White as well as lead
technician Kent Moore will be present at the lunchtime reception to
answer questions and offer personal insight into the Le Mans victory.
The Le Mans winning Westward Ho Casino/ MMPIE/ PAWS/ Justice Brothers
Porsche 911 GT3 RS will be on display with tours of the race and Porsche
preparation shop and car transporter to be given.

"We are race fans! We know them and they are from Las Vegas," commented
Shawn Murphy, editor of Sandscript, the official newsletter of the
Porsche Club's Las Vegas Region. "They are our team and our car. We
could not be there [Le Mans] to celebrate with them, but we can
celebrate them, here."

Dale White was very pleased to host the reception in the team's honor.
"The local Porsche club is excited about our Le Mans win and we are glad
to share our experience with them. These are our best fans and it is
gratifying to make them a part of this win."

Petersen Motorsports/ White Lightning Racing began operation in the late
1980s competing in off-road endurance events. The duo of Petersen and
White joined to win over 50 off-road truck victories including
three-consecutive overall wins at the Baja 1000 and Baja 500. Before
bringing the team to the pavement fulltime in 2000, the team had
racked-up four SCORE, SNORE and SODA championships. Since introducing
the team to sports car racing, the success has been no less impressive
scoring a Trans-Am Series victory and three Speed Challenge wins. The
team has endurance sports car wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2003,
Watkins Glen in 1998 and the 2001 GT class win, second overall, at the
Rolex 24 of Daytona. In the ALMS, Petersen Motorsports/ White Lightning
Racing has consistently been one of the highest-ranking, non-factory
efforts in the GT class. The team opened the 2003 ALMS season with
second-place honors at the 12 Hours of Sebring in March and, joining
with Alex Job Racing, the GT class victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Johnny Mowlem, of Warfield, England, and Craig Stanton, of Long Beach,
Calif., are the team's regular drivers.
