Honda: 2003 Sales at Least at 2002 Level

BRUSSELS, July 7, 2003; Reuters reported that the chairman of Honda Motor Co (Tokyo:7267.T - News) said on Monday he expected the firm's 2003 sales in Europe, the United States and Japan would be in line with, or slightly better than, 2002. Yoshihide Munekuni, chairman of both Honda and the Japan Automobile Manufacturers' Association, said sales in Asia, and specifically China, where the total car and truck market was likely to grow about 30 percent, would spur growth.
