Back to Sutton!
The stars of the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship
presented by Toronto Star Wheels return to 3S Go-Karts for rounds 7 and 8

TORONTO, ONTARIO - For the first time this season, the Sunoco Ron Fellows
Karting Championship presented by Toronto Star Wheels will travel to a
karting facility for the second time this season. 3S Go Karts was the site
for round three and four and the popular Sutton, Ontario track will host
rounds 7 and 8 of the 12 race series this weekend.

"I'm looking forward to getting back to Sutton," Pfaff Porsche Birel
Formula Senior driver, Mike Roth said. "After a fairly disappointing race
at Barrie, I hope things go better at Sutton."
Roth is not the only one hoping for a good weekend. "I am happy to be back
at home," Juliana Chiovitti said. "I thought missing Barrie would kill me
in the points, but with Roth having a bad weekend, and Jonathan [Fecteau]
winning Formula Senior, the damage wasn't that bad - thanks Jonathan."
Taking the fight to the potent Birel team will be Kart Depot's Tyler
Givougue, and PTK's (Paul Tracy Kart) Trevor Daley - who are both coming
off podium finishes at Barrie.

In Formula Junior, the battle between Hurricane PTK driver Robert Wickens
and Birel's Daniel Morad is expected to continue, but Birel's Keaton
Doerksen and PSLkarting.com's Jesse Labbe will also be gunning for their
first Formula Junior win of the year. Wickens, Doerksen and Morad will also
be in the fight for the Canada Junior win, but the competition will be
heated as there are many other drivers like Gold's Evan Hayden, Birel's
Michael Mora, Gold's Pearce Herder, Birel's Richard Boake and CMP's Michael
Glaze and Bart Trapani who hope to score a win in Sutton.

The series will also welcome back Mr. Paul Cooke, the karting director for
ASN Canada, who was injured in a freak accident at the Air Canada Grand
Prix in early June. Cooke, along with Ron Fellows and Sunoco's Brad Brown
are the driving force behind the series, and Cooke was sorely missed at
Barrie.
Practice and qualifying will start at 9:00 am on both days with racing
starting at 1:30 pm.
Admission to the SRFKC is free for spectators on both days, and Sutton
offers many good viewing areas, so come out and see tomorrows motorsport
stars today.

The objective of the SRFKC is to help foster a professional environment for
kart drivers; help create a positive attitude towards appearance, conduct
and discipline; help foster the employment of the best practices for the
safe and fair running of competitions; and help kart drivers to move up the
racing ladder to automobile racing. At the end of the season, eight drivers
will be selected from the series, plus two drivers from the ASN Canadian
National Championships. They will be invited to a one-day evaluation test
at the Bridgestone Racing Academy at Mosport, provided they are 16 years of
age prior to the date of the test. Out of those 10 drivers, two will earn a
full scholarship to the 2004 the 2003 Bridgestone / FormulaCar Magazine
F2000 Racing Series.
