Big Bang At Hales This Weekend
Franklin, Wis., June 28--Racing continues at the historic third-mile oval on
Miller High Life Night Saturday, July 5th with a full program of UMP late
model, sportsmen, modified and Hales Whales racing, plus the 4-cylinder Mud
Puppies. The night will be highlighted by the Jim Engel Memorial 50-lap feature for
the high-powered UMP late models and a huge fireworks display.
Also, West Allis Salvage presents the first annual pie eating contest with
cash prizes for the fans.
If that wasn't enough, daredevil Dan Elders will be crawling into a wooded
box and blowing the box to pieces using dynamite.
The Modified triple crown scheduled for Saturday June 28 has been postponed
until Saturdya July 12.
Time trials are at 6:15 p.m., with racing immediately following qualifying.
