INTERMET to Webcast Second-Quarter 2003 Earnings Briefing on July 17

TROY, Mich., July 2 -- INTERMET Corporation President and COO Gary Ruff, Vice President of Finance and CFO Bob Belts, and Vice President of Sales and Marketing Terry Graessle will host a briefing to discuss second-quarter 2003 financial results at 3:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 17, 2003.

INTERMET will provide a live audio webcast scheduled to begin in conjunction with the briefing at 3:00 p.m. The webcast, which will be accompanied by a slide presentation, can be accessed through the Financial/Investor Information page on the company's Web site at www.intermet.com . It is recommended that access to the live webcast be established 10-15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. A replay of the webcast briefing also is expected to be available on the company's Web site beginning two hours after completion of the briefing through August 17, 2003.
