MotoTron Acquires New Eagle Software

OSHKOSH, Wis., July 1 -- MotoTron, a unit of Brunswick New Technologies (BNT), announced today that it has acquired privately-held New Eagle Software, a systems consulting and software tool provider based in Ann Arbor, Mich. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

With its unique RapidHawk(R) product, New Eagle specializes in model-based embedded software development that allows for rapid prototyping and design in such areas as controls for fuel cells and electro-mechanical applications. Rapid prototyping involves machine-generated software codes rather than the traditional hand coding done by software engineers. It is faster and more reliable, offering substantial costs savings and shorting development cycles from years to months, according to Jeff Ehlers, general manager of MotoTron. New Eagle customers include many of the world's leading automakers and largest corporations.
