Pyle Records Second Pole of 2003 At IRP For
Tonight’s The Club 200 Presented by BFGoodrich Tires
Clermont, Ind. (June 28, 2003) – Robbie Pyle turned the fastest lap in qualifying
for tonight’s The Club 200 Presented by BFGoodrich Tires at Indianapolis
Raceway Park. Pyle toured the .686-mile oval in 22.212 seconds at 111.183
mph. Wheeling the No. 63 CITGO MDA/Texor Chevrolet, it marks the second
pole of the 2003 season and the 10th of his career.
Three-time ASA Champion Butch Miller qualified second quickest with three-time
winner in 2003 Mike Garvey in third position. Ohio’s Glenn Allen Jr. timed in
fourth best with $50,000 Rookie point’s leader Robbie Pyle in fifth.
Drivers from the Hoosier State that will compete in The Club 200 Presented by
BFGoodrich Tires include Peter Cozzolino of Avon in 21st, Greg Williams of
Haubstadt in 25th and Brent Downey of Avon in 27th.
The Club 200 Presented by BFGoodrich Tires goes green at 8 p.m. (Local).
