Cosworth Technology and Altair Engineering Form Engineering Partnership

    TROY, Mich.--June 26, 2003--Altair Engineering (www.altair.com), a Troy, Mich.-based international product design and consulting company, and Cosworth Technology, Inc. (www.cosworth-technology.com), a global powertrain engineering services supplier, announced an agreement to pool their resources to fully develop automotive OEM niche and performance vehicles.
    The joint agreement will combine Cosworth Technology's powertrain systems expertise with Altair's vehicle design, development and test capabilities. The two companies' complementary skills provide OEM customers with a "one-stop shop" for most aspects of vehicle development.
    According to Mike Heskitt, vice president, global engineering for Altair Engineering, "With a mutual client base, we kept finding ourselves already working together on vehicle programs. This agreement makes a lot of sense and offers customers a single source for supporting derivative programs."
