                     Mansfield Victory Builds Largest
                     Points Lead of ’03 For Cywinski
 

Pendleton,  Ind.  (June  24, 2003) –  Producing his second victory of the season, 1997
ASA  Champion  Kevin  Cywinski  has  established  the  largest  point’s  lead  in  the  ASA
Racing Series during the opening eight events of 2003. Wheeling the No. 1 SK Hand
Tool / Great Clips Chevrolet, Cywinski collected his 12th series victory in the inaugural
Ohio 250 at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway. This marks the seventh top-five finish for
the Wausau, Wis., competitor.

Three-time ASA  Champion  Butch  Miller  finished  in  the  ninth  position  at  Mansfield  and
dropped to 105 points behind Cywinski. The pilot of the No. 52 Timber Wolf Chevrolet
owned  by SS Racing began the season with a victory at USA International  Speedway
and  followed  up  that  stellar  performance  with  a  win  at  Toledo  Speedway.  Miller  has
collected seven top-10 finishes and two poles.

Scoring  his  third  consecutive  podium  finish,  2000 ASA  Rookie  runner-up  Robbie  Pyle
crossed the line in second, just .173 seconds behind the race winner. The driver of the
No.  63  CITGO  MDA  Chevrolet  also  finished  third  at  I-70  Speedway  and  second  at
Hawkeye  Downs.  Pyle  has  collected  six  top-10  performances,  placing  him third in the
standings.

A three-time event winner this season, Mike Garvey ranks fourth after eight of 17 races.
In his most recent outing, Garvey finished in sixth position at Mansfield. Garvey notched
his initial victory of 2003 at Lanier National Speedway and then added back-to-back wins
at  Hawkeye  Downs  Speedway  and  I-70  Speedway.  Garvey  trails  Cywinski  by  158
markers.

Georgia’s   Reed   Sorenson   recorded   his   second   straight   pole   position,   and   then
proceeded to grab his third podium finish of the season. Sorenson, the current $50,000
Rookie point’s leader, retains the fifth position in the championship battle. The Peachtree
City, Ga., native trails Cywinski by 167 points after producing six top-10 finishes.

Florida’s Travis Kittleson is sixth after a fourth-place finish in the Ohio 250. 1995 ASA
runner-up Glenn Allen Jr. racked up his second consecutive top-five performance with
new  sponsor  Modern  Office  Methods  and  continues  to  rank  seventh  in  the  points.
Second-year  driver  Todd  Kluever  of  Wisconsin  ranks  eighth  followed  by  1998  ASA
Rookie runner-up Peter Cozzolino and Wisconsin’s Chris Wimmer.

The  ninth  event  of  the  2003  ASA  Racing  Series  is  set  for  Saturday,  June  28  at
Indianapolis Raceway Park in Clermont, Ind. The Club 200 Presented by BFGoodrich
Tires takes the green flag at 8 p.m. (Local) and will be telecast live on SPEED Channel.
