The Ultimate Customized Cruising Machine to Make a Splash as Al & Ed's Autosound Revs Up Southern California's Summer as Part of the ``Cruisin' Thru Summer'' Contest

    CITY OF COMMERCE, Calif.--June 24, 2003--Al & Ed's Autosound:

-- Leading Retailer/Installer of Mobile Entertainment, Communications and Security Systems Creates Fully Loaded 2003 "Ragin' PT Cruiser" to Be Given Away as the Grand Prize on Saturday, August 30, 2003 at Raging Waters in San Dimas
-- Win a Key, Start the Car and Drive Away the Customized Ragin' PT Cruiser

Al & Ed's Autosound, the nation's largest mobile electronics and communications specialists, has teamed with two other Southern California institutions, radio station KIIS-FM and California's largest water park, Raging Waters, to launch the "Cruisin' Thru Summer" sweepstakes. The grand prize, provided by Al & Ed's Autosound, is a fully equipped 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser, complete with custom graphics, a custom wheel package, and a professionally installed state of the art Alpine audio and video system.
Registration forms are available now at all 32 Al & Ed's Southern California locations, as well as at Raging Waters in San Dimas. Weekly winners drawn at random, from now through August 24, 2003, will receive a key and an opportunity to gather at Raging Waters on August 30th to try their luck at starting the Grand Prize Ragin' Cruiser. The participant whose key starts the AL & Ed's Ragin' PT Cruiser will cruise away in style. In addition, thirteen secondary weekly sweepstakes drawing winners will receive mobile audio equipment courtesy of Al & Ed's.
"SoCal" cruising is just as much of a Southern California institution as Al & Ed's Autosound. "We took an off-the-showroom-floor PT Cruiser and transformed it into the quintessential cruising machine," said Gabi Mashal, president of Al & Ed's Autosound when asked to describe the $35,000 souped-up PT Cruiser. "Our installation experts gave it a major overhaul creating a new personality that simply rages."
Al & Ed's installers started with a new coat of interior and exterior paint, and added custom accents to the dash, door panels, and a custom enclosure that houses a rocking amplifier and booming subwoofer.
EXTREME Audio and Video systems were installed, starting with a brand new Alpine IVAD 900, Alpine's newest and sharpest in-dash DVD player with a fold out 7.0" high-resolution monitor and an Alpine XM satellite radio receiver. So as not to leave out passengers, a rear seat entertainment system consisting of two Alpine 5.8" headrest monitors were added. New Type R Alpine speakers were installed; 6.5" components in the front and 5x7" speakers in the back, and an Alpine Type R 12" subwoofer in the trunk providing the bass. A powerful 5 channel Alpine amplifier provides the power for the new system.
To add finishing touches, the Al & Ed's installation team added several APC components, including rims, tail lights, chrome mirrors, chrome A/C vents, and a new Billet Grill.
