Davin Wheel Company Announces U.S. Patent for Exclusive Wheel Spinner Assembly; The Company Will Actively Enforce Legal Utility Patent Rights

PROVIDENCE, R.I.--June 24, 2003--Davin Wheels, the originator of the first continuous motion wheel, announced today that the company has secured a United States Utility Patent for its wheel spinner assembly. On April 29, 2003, the United States Patent and Trademark Office issued U.S. Patent No. 6,554,370 to Davin Wheel Company; the patent is directed to a wheel spinner assembly for use with a vehicle wheel such that the spinner assembly rotates independently relative to the wheel itself. Davin Wheels is the only company in the United States with a U.S. Patent for spinning wheel technology.
"We are thrilled that the U.S. Patent and Trademark office has issued this important patent to Davin Wheel Company," noted Ian Hardman, CEO, Davin Wheels. "As the market leader in spinning wheels, we will continue to aggressively develop our technology and design capabilities to further enhance our products. Along this line, we also intend to actively enforce our patent rights, and go after those who infringe on our design."
The right conferred by the patent grant is, in the language of the statute and of the grant itself, "the right to exclude others from making, using, offering for sale, or selling" the invention in the United States or "importing" the invention into the United States. As the exclusive patent holder for spinning wheel technology, Davin Wheels is unrivaled in its dominance of the spinning wheel category, and in its breakthrough design and unique business practices in the automotive aftermarket industry.
