Suzuki and Nissan Reach an Agreement on Telematics Service

Tokyo, Japan, June. 23, 2003 - (JCN Newswire) - Suzuki Motor Corporation
and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., have recently
reached a basic agreement concerning the availability and marketing of
Nissan's CARWINGS telematics service to the customers of Suzuki brand
cars in Japan. Nissan launched its CARWINGS telematics service in the
Japanese market in March 2002.

Suzuki and Nissan began conducting a joint study last summer to explore
possibilities for cooperation in the field of telematics services. On
the basis of that study, it was concluded that the availability of
Nissan's CARWINGS telematics service to the customers of Suzuki vehicles
would benefit both parties. This agreement forms a new cooperative
relationship in the telematics field.

For Suzuki, the utilization of Nissan's telematics service and the joint
planning of content offerings will enable the automaker to meet its
customers' needs in the automotive telematics field in the coming years.
Suzuki will determine which of its car models will be offered with
Nissan's CARWINGS telematics service.

CARWINGS is Japan's first comprehensive telematics system that
integrates car, cellphone and personal computer technologies to provide
both operator-assisted and automatic services. As a pioneer in promoting
telematics services in the automotive industry, Nissan launched CARWINGS
in the March small passenger car that was released in March 2002.
CARWINGS is now available on seven Nissan model lines, including the
all-new Teana.

In connection with the development of telematics, Nissan and NTT DoCoMo,
Inc. are now jointly studying opportunities for developing
next-generation telematics services that would make use of mobile
multimedia technology. The two companies are pursuing the development of
systems and services based on third-generation mobile communications
technology and representing an industry standard that could be used by
many companies in a wide range of fields.

Suzuki and Nissan aim to begin providing CARWINGS telematics service to
Suzuki car owners this autumn. The specifics will be developed in the
coming months, but the major details of the basic agreement are as
follows:

-Nissan will provide its CARWINGS telematics service to Suzuki car
owners.
-Suzuki will equip and sell car models fitted with the in-vehicle
terminal equipment needed for owners to access Nissan's CARWINGS
telematics service. Suzuki will also undertake sales activities for
CARWINGS.
-Nissan will conclude a subscriber's contract with Suzuki car owners for
the provision of its CARWINGS telematics service.
-Nissan will furnish Suzuki with the technical information and know-how
needed to develop, manufacture and market in-vehicle terminal equipment
for accessing CARWINGS telematics service.

In addition, based on separate discussions, the two companies plan to
examine possibilities for cooperation concerning the next-generation
telematics service now under development at Nissan.
