Infineon Practice 1 - Revolution Motorsports

Revolution Motorsports Chasing The Setup After First Round Practice
Crew searching for the right handling package

Sonoma, Calif. – June 21, 2003 – A long two days of waiting finally
ended at 6pm Pacific time as the Trans-Am cars finally took the track
to practice for the fifth round of the Trans-Am Series for the
BFGoodrich Tires Cup, here at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California.

The Revolution Corvettes were handed yet another unfriendly welcome as
the Jaguars continued their romp as they have for every race this year.

“We just haven’t been able to find an answer to the Jag dominance,”
said Stu Hayner, driver of the #2 Trenton Forging / GMAC Commercial
Finance Corvette. “We’re going to go through notes from other tracks
we’ve run at and pull data that will provide similar conditions.
Hopefully we can find some better handling through our shock package
and by looking at other settings. I think we can move up a few spots by
qualifying.”

Hayner finished the session seventh fastest for the day. Teammate,
Bobby Sak, driver of the #10 Revolution Motorsports Corvette was 10th.

“My sway bar was bound up and really made the car a handful,” said
Bobby. “We came in and played around with it a bit, but I think once we
get that fixed and look at our handling package we should be in good
shape. I like the track. Once the car is handling right I’ll be able to
get around pretty good. I just want to make sure I do my part to put on
a good show for the Trans-Am Series. This event is a great opportunity
for Revolution Motorsports, its sponsors and the Series. So, we need to
show them a good competitive race.

Appearing on the NASCAR schedule this weekend, the Trans-Am 100 will
run Sunday, June 22, immediately following the SaveMart 350 and will
air on SPEED Channel Friday, June 27.

Revolution Motorsports in association with Trenton Forging competes as
part of the Trans-Am Series for the BF Goodrich Tires Cup. All events
are nationally televised on SPEED. The Trans-Am Series is the oldest
form of American sports car racing.
