JOHNNY MILLER TO MAKE FIRST CAREER NASCAR START

Infineon Raceway Sonoma, California-
Johnny Miller will make his first career NASCAR Winston Cup start in Sunday's Dodge Savemart 350 at Infineon Raceway. Miller qualified 36th with a speed of 91.89mph. The team made the race on speed and gained a provisional starting spot for future use.

Miller got limited time on the Infineon track due to several track delays during the two hour NASCAR practice session. NASCAR requires all on track activity to stop during a yellow flag period. Johnny was only able to string together two or three consecutive laps at a time. Miller set times equal to 12th on the field during the practice session and ended the session in the top twenty.

Miller and the Morgan-McClure crew seemed to gell during Friday's practice. The team feels confident that come race day the #4 Kodak Pontiac will do well. "I truly feel we have a better car than where we placed in qualifying. I played it way too conservative and I could have gotten more out of the car," stated Johnny

NASCAR qualifying on road courses is only one fast lap. Miller's main objective was to keep the car on the track, to give him the best chance to make the 43 car field.

"It is a coulda, woulda, shoulda scenario. This one lap deal is difficult and I am simply not used to it. This is an incredible opportunity for me to prove myself. I am glad the qualifying is behind us and now I can go out and drive a complete race. I intend to make Sunday a good day for the Kodak Pontiac and Morgan-McClure Motorsports", Miller concluded.

The Dodge Savemart 350 will be televised on FOX Sports, Sunday June 22 beginning at 3:30pm ET.
