Aston Martin, Jaguar and Land Rover Appoint Imagination as Global Design Agency
NEW YORK, June 20 -- Following an extended pitch process, design and communications company Imagination has been appointed as the global design agency for all exhibition design activity across the three famous British brands: Aston Martin, Jaguar and Land Rover. The Frankfurt Autoshow in September will be the first outing of the new Imagination designs which will be followed by a cascade across approximately twenty-five international shows a year.
For Aston Martin the plan will be to continue with the distinctive, modern luxury design theme utilising travertine walls and floors. This theme is also being rolled out by Imagination in all Aston Martin's dealerships around the World.
Jaguar's stands will feature a development of the dramatic wood and aluminium wave form, which was originally premiered at the Detroit Autoshow back in January 2003. Imagination's design aim will be to further reflect the technical engineering, sensuous styling and performance attributes of Jaguar's cars.
An all-new design approach is being adopted for Land Rover which will focus on providing an experience which combines the sense of urban and rural environments, and brings to life the adventurous spirit of the brand, its products and its customers.
Imagination Design Director, Douglas Broadley describes the win as "a great demonstration of our understanding of what these brands stand for and where they are going in the future. We are very excited about consolidating our relationship with these three great companies."
Amanda Chick, Global Exhibition and Customer Events Manager for Jaguar and Land Rover said, "Imagination's creative work not only demonstrated a thorough understanding of these very diverse brands, but it also defined a clear and differentiated interpretation of the respective brand visions. With Imagination's track record of delivery we are very excited about working together to achieve the full potential of our great brands".

Prior to this global appointment Imagination were already responsible Aston Martin and Land Rover exhibition design and part of Jaguar's North American programme. The consolidation of the three brands with Imagination reflects the increasing co-operation between these three sister brands as they seek to improve efficiencies within the Ford Motor Company portfolio.
All three brands are at crucial stages of their respective brand and product development.
Aston Martin have a new production facility at Gaydon from which future product will be built. They are rapidly expanding their global dealer network in anticipation of increased demand.
Following the 2002 launch of the New Range Rover, Land Rover are preparing the ground for the forthcoming product launches. These new products will further support the brands premium 'adventure' positioning. The last major overhaul of the stand design was in 2000.
Having almost doubled their volumes over the past couple of years, Jaguar has just launched a new corporate identity and flagship with the all-new aluminium XJ.
