"Owners of Habitat homes demonstrate their commitment in many ways," said Guy C. Hachey, vice president, Delphi Corporation and president, Delphi Energy & Chassis Systems. "They invest many hours in helping build the homes of others as well as their own. Additionally, they pay for their homes using no- profit, zero-interest mortgages. Habitat for Humanity demonstrates a value we believe in at Delphi: Individuals can and do make a difference," he said.

"By building homes in partnership with local people, Delphi employees are demonstrating their commitment to the areas where they live and work," said Cheryl A. Kilborn, director of public affairs & communications, Delphi Energy & Chassis Systems. "Our employees are enthusiastic about volunteering to help Habitat for Humanity. They value the opportunity to make a difference in their community. Delphi and its employees are proud to support Habitat for Humanity."

Delphi employees are also active in numerous charitable programs around the world. For example, Delphi employees have donated millions of dollars to United Way in the United States, and sponsored For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (F.I.R.S.T.), a program geared toward encouraging students to pursue science-related professions.

Delphi employees also are active in their communities volunteering in sports groups, chambers of commerce, church groups, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, minority organizations, humane societies, advisory boards, public school district boards, blood donation centers, YMCA and YWCA, among others.
