Shanghai GM Selects PeopleSoft Human Capital Management; Largest Chinese-U.S. Joint Venture to Deploy HCM Solution

    PLEASANTON, Calif.--June 18, 2003--PeopleSoft Inc. today announced that in the fourth quarter of 2002, Shanghai General Motors (GM) selected PeopleSoft's industry-leading Human Capital Management (HCM) solution. The new solution will enable Shanghai GM to streamline costly administrative HR processes, deploy self-service to their 3,000 employees worldwide and align their workforce with organizational objectives.
