Hertz Recognized by J.D. Power and Associates for Airport Rental Car Satisfaction

PARK RIDGE, N.J., June 17 -- Hertz is a winner in the 2003 J.D. Power and Associates Domestic Rental Car Satisfaction Study. The J.D. Power Study is based on responses from more than 2800 business and leisure rental car customers who rented a car at or near an airport.

Commenting on the 2003 Study, Brian Kennedy, Hertz Executive Vice President, Marketing and Sales, said, "During these difficult times for the travel industry, Hertz has continued to invest in areas related to customer satisfaction. We view the results of the J.D. Power Study, the many "Best of" awards Hertz has received over the past year and growing market share as indicators that our service-focused investment strategy is paying off." He added, "We believe the results of the Study also confirm our perception that most business and leisure travelers will seek out value -- superior service and products delivered at competitive prices -- when they make travel plans."

Looking ahead, Kennedy said, "We are committed to additional service-related investments in 2003. Hertz has expanded to 890 locations in the U.S. off-airport rental market, with more openings planned for later this year. We will soon announce another upgrade of our industry-leading NeverLost(R) GPS direction system, and we have expanded both the Hertz Prestige Collection and Sirius Satellite Radio programs this year."

Hertz is the largest worldwide general use car rental business, operating in over 150 countries from 7000 locations. Hertz is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company. For more information, call Hertz toll-free at 1-800-654-3131 or visit the company online at www.hertz.com.
