Motion Industries Names Ellen Holladay Senior Vice President Information Technology and Director of Operational Excellence

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--June 17, 2003--Motion Industries, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company has named Ellen Holladay senior vice president Information Technology and director of Operational Excellence.
    According to Bill Stevens, Motion Industries' president and CEO, Holladay will continue to serve as chief information officer in the company's Information Technology Group as she leads the Company's Operational Excellence Program.
    "The purpose of this initiative is to improve the processes throughout the company and ultimately reduce our cost of operations," said Stevens. "The team, led by Holladay, will examine all major areas of branches, distribution centers, service centers as well as the corporate office."
    Holladay has previously served Motion Industries as vice president of Information Technology, director of Software Systems, and director of the MIS Department. Holladay joined the company in 1990 as manager of Systems Planning. Holladay also serves as the Bearing Specialist Association chairperson for the Logistics and Information Technology Committee. She received a BS degree from Auburn University in 1978 and received an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1983.
