SPRINT VINTAGE GRAND PRIX WAVES GREEN FLAG ON MID-OHIO SPORTS CAR COURSE SEASON

DUBLIN, Ohio (June 16, 2003) - The 42nd season of racing at Mid-Ohio Sports
Car Course gets underway with the Sprint Vintage Grand Prix at Mid-Ohio
Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, June 20-22.

The event is a celebration of racing's past, turning three action packed
days into a virtual motorsports history museum. Over 50 years of racing
glory will be present, featuring open-wheel and open-cockpit cars, classic
tin tops, and memories of races gone by. 

The Chevrolet Corvette turns as many heads today as it did with its
inception in 1953, and as the featured marque of the 2003 Sprint Vintage
Grand Prix, Corvette will highlight the weekend's activities. Continuing its
yearlong 50th anniversary celebration, Corvette will play a prominent role
in the annual Concours d'Elegance on Sunday, June 22. Included in this
popular car show will be the 50th Anniversary Enthusiasts Challenge, a
live-action timeline that showcases the 50 years of Corvette, lined-up on
Mid-Ohio's Championship Row.

Another popular off-track activity includes the 5th Annual British Car
Showdown on Saturday, June 21. A can't miss for car enthusiasts from across
the pond, the popular vote car show includes awards for "Best in Class" and
"Best of Show". All participants in either car show are eligible to
participate in a parade lap around the 2.4-mile road course during the lunch
hour on the appropriate day.

The weekend's on-track schedule includes 10 SVRA group races, a HSR "BOSS"
series race featuring vintage Formula One and Indy Cars, two Enduro races, a
Historic GTP race, and an All-Corvette Feature Race.

Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is located approximately halfway between Columbus
and Cleveland, off Interstate 71. Commonly referred to as the "Most
Competitive in the U.S.," Mid-Ohio hosts six motorsports events throughout
the summer, beginning with the Sprint Vintage Grand Prix and including the
Honda Super Cycle Weekend presented by Dunlop Tire, July 25-27, and the
