Stephen C. Goodall Appointed Chief Executive Officer of J.D. Power and Associates

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.--June 16, 2003--Stephen C. Goodall has been appointed chief executive officer of J.D. Power and Associates by J.D. (Dave) Power, III, chairman of the board. Goodall also retains the position of president, which he has held since 1996.
    Goodall's appointment to the CEO position was announced during the firm's 35th anniversary celebration at its Westlake Village headquarters on June 11.
    "Steve has been a key member of our organization for more than 25 years," said Dave Power. "His dedication and hard work have helped shape the firm into a recognized global leader in marketing information."
    Prior to Goodall's appointment as president and chief operating officer in 1996, he served as senior partner and was responsible for all research operations conducted by the firm in its North American offices.
    In 1989, Goodall established the J.D. Power and Associates office in Troy, Mich., to work more closely with major automotive manufacturers and the supplier community.
    Goodall's experience includes more than two decades of designing and managing quantitative and qualitative research projects for the firm.
    He earned his MBA and undergraduate degrees in psychology and business administration from the University of Southern California.
