Toyota Mexico Reports Best Ever May

TORRANCE, Calif., June 13 -- Toyota Motor Sales de Mexico (TMEX) reported today best-ever May sales of 602 vehicles, an increase of 360 units over the same period last year. TMEX calendar year-to-date sales total 2,588 units.

"Toyota is growing throughout the country, we just added another new dealership in Leon and we are building a strong customer base, " said Jose Luis Sanchez Andion, general director of Toyota Motor Sales de Mexico.

Toyota de Mexico carries the Corolla sedan, Matrix, Camry, 4Runner, Land Cruiser and the Sienna van. The Corolla compact sedan was the May sales leader with 215 units sold, followed by the Camry at 157 units. In only its third month of sales, the all-new 2004 Sienna sold a strong 96 units in May.
