Volkswagen, Bank One Launch Volkswagen Platinum Visa Card With Rewards

Reward Cardmembers With Savings on Volkswagen Car Purchases, Services, Merchandise

WILMINGTON, Del., June 12 -- Volkswagen Bank USA*, an affiliate of Volkswagen of America, Inc., and Bank One today announced an alliance to offer the Volkswagen Platinum Visa* Card with Rewards, giving consumers a great vehicle for earning rewards with every purchase.

Volkswagen Platinum Visa cardmembers earn two points for every dollar spent on qualified Volkswagen purchases and one point for every dollar spent on other purchases. Every time cardmembers accumulate just 2,500 reward points, they can choose from:

   -- A check, which may be used toward the purchase of a Volkswagen
      vehicle, service or maintenance on a Volkswagen or payment toward a
      car loan or lease with Volkswagen Credit
   -- A gift certificate toward a wide variety of merchandise in the
      Volkswagen DriverGear* Collection
   -- Many other extraordinary rewards including discounts on brand-name
      merchandise, airline tickets and luxury hotels, as well as restaurant
      and retail gift certificates

The card will launch this summer, and consumers may find additional information or pre-register to be notified as soon as the card is available at www.vw.com .

This fall, participating Volkswagen dealerships across the country will feature instant credit applications, enabling consumers to apply for the card when applying to Volkswagen Credit for an automobile loan or lease. Approved cardmembers will receive an initial instant credit line of US$2,000 that can be used at the dealerships for Volkswagen purchases, for which they'll receive double reward points.
