Rival Technologies Acquires Diesel Emissions Technology
VANCOUVER, British Columbia--June 9, 2003--Rival Technologies Inc., announced today that it has completed the acquisition of a diesel engine technology from M.A. Turbo/Engine Ltd. ("M.A. Turbo").CWI technology is a continuous water injection system that allows for simultaneous reduction in diesel emissions and reduced fuel consumption while improving engine performance. Using M.A. Turbo as its development partner, Rival will produce a modification of CWI technology for the billion-dollar automotive transportation industry (Heavy/Light duty Trucks, Buses).
M.A. Turbo has achieved success establishing relationships and installing the marine application of CWI technology with several major clients, including BC Ferries, Algoma Central Marine, San Diego Ferry, Cargill International, and others. Rival believes that the current success within the marine industry is the key impetus to achieving market success within the transportation industry.
Rival has acquired a 100% interest in CWI technology for the automotive transportation industry, and a 20% interest in CWI technology for the marine industry. The Purchase Agreement includes an option clause to acquire the balance of the marine application. Under the terms of the Purchase Agreement, Rival has issued 35,000,000 restricted shares. Rival has committed to provide M.A. Turbo with development and marketing funds to complete CWI technology for the automotive transportation industry.
