Terry Borcheller - Le Mans preview

Le Mans!

Terry Borcheller is en route to France, where he'll compete in le 24 Heures
du Mans June 14 and 15. It will be his fourth race and the third country in
which he's competed in two weeks. He raced a motorcycle in the Baja 500, a
prototype car in the Rolex Sports Car Series and a grand-sports car in the
Grand-Am Cup. Now he's ready for a Ferrari!

Borcheller, of Phoenix, will drive the No. 94 Risi Competizione Ferrari 360
Modena with Ralf Kelleners of Germany and Anthony Lazzaro of Acworth, Ga. The
race will be Borcheller's third at Le Mans, following a GTS podium in 2001 and
a seventh-place GTS finish last year.

"I'm really looking forward to linking up with Risi and Ralf and Anthony
again," he said. "I've had good results at Le Mans, so hopefully I'll get my
first win this year. That's my goal."

Borcheller noted the Le Mans race, which covers 13.65 km of country roads,
requires a steady drive. "I pace myself a little bit different," he said. "You
want to give yourself a buffer because it's such a long race. You don't want
to be the one to take the car out. You're going to run 10/10ths, but you're
better off not to put it on the edge as much.

"As with any 24-hour race, you can't leave anything undone. Everything has
to be thought through from food to preparation of the drivers and the team.
Nothing can be left undone or you're going to have problems."
