Michigan Department of Transportation Unveils New Gateway Bridge; Detroit Regional Gateways Advisory Council Reviews Accomplishments
Unique public/private partnership is achieving its goals and serves as
a model for similar partnerships throughout Michigan
Briefing to take place at Ford Field on June 10, 2003, 10 a.m.
Why: In October, 2002, the Detroit Regional Gateways Advisory Council was established to oversee, recommend and raise funds to enhance the safety and image of I-94. On June 10, members of the DRGAC, and public officials representing the City of Detroit, Wayne County and the State of Michigan will update DRGAC progress and unveil a unique bridge that will serve as a gateway to the Detroit region.
What: The Detroit Regional Gateways Advisory Council (DRGAC) is a public-private partnership established to oversee enhancements to the I-94 corridor between Detroit Metro Airport and downtown Detroit.
