Bruce Swift Joins Metaldyne as Driveline & Transmission Group President

PLYMOUTH, Mich., June 5 -- Metaldyne today announced that Bruce Swift has joined the company as president of its Driveline & Transmission Group. Tim Leuliette, Metaldyne's chairman, president and CEO, made the announcement.

In this role, Swift will oversee all functions of the Driveline & Transmission Group's business including plant operations, financial performance and sales.

"We are pleased to welcome Bruce to Metaldyne," said Leuliette. "His experience and leadership in the automotive industry will be a great asset to the Driveline & Transmission Group as we launch several new business programs over the next few years and as we expand our global presence."

Swift comes to Metaldyne from Covisint, LLC in Southfield, Mich. where he most recently served as chairman and CEO. Prior to joining Covisint, Swift served in various purchasing roles at Ford Motor Company in North America and Europe. Before joining Ford, Swift had been purchasing manager of Honda of America, Inc., in Marysville, Ohio.

Swift holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business finance from Ursinus College in Collegeville, Penn.

The Driveline & Transmission Group, the largest of Metaldyne's three operating divisions, has been awarded a significant amount of new business that launches in the next two to three years including shaft assemblies, differential case assemblies and transmission clutch modules for automakers' transmission applications. With 20 facilities throughout North America and Europe, the Group has approximately 3,500 employees worldwide.
