DaimlerChrysler Corporation Fund Supports Transcendental Meditation (TM); Event Tomorrow, June 6, in Detroit
* Students at Nataki Talibah Schoolhouse show improved concentration and higher self-esteem with TM * Media invited to participate in hands-on TM experience
WHAT: Upon entering a fifth-eighth grade classroom at Nataki Talibah Schoolhouse of Detroit, a visitor will see students closing their eyes and meditating. The method, Transcendental Meditation (TM), is used to help students concentrate and relieve stress, and has been a part of the Nataki Talibah Schoolhouse educational program for six years. University of Michigan studies prove that students and others who incorporate TM into their lifestyle are more apt to have better social skills.
DaimlerChrysler Corporation Fund supports both traditional and alternative methods of education to tomorrow's leaders. The company provides support for TM training and facilitation at Nataki Talibah. This year, more than 125 students are participating in TM at the school.
