Operant Material Solutions Opens Branch in Atlanta

    ATLANTA--June 5, 2003--Jeffrey Dale Welsh, chief executive officer of Operant Material Solutions, Inc., today announced the opening of Operant Material Solutions of Atlanta, LLC.
    The Atlanta branch is the first location in what will become a nationwide network of material handling equipment and service dealers.
    "We're pleased to begin our new company in Atlanta," said Welsh. "This market offers the kind of business environment we are looking for as we expand our presence in the material handling industry."
    Operant Material Solutions acquired assets from the lender to Clarklift of Atlanta, Inc. and Clarklift Material Handling, Inc., of Macon, Ga., both of which ceased operations on May 27, 2003. The Macon assets were consolidated into the Atlanta operation. "Our acquisition of assets from two locations immediately gave Operant the inventory required to run a successful operation," said Welsh. "Although we are a new company, we have the financial strength and material handling expertise to meet and exceed our customers' expectations."
    Operant has assembled a unique combination of world-class management and highly experienced customer service and technical personnel. Welsh, a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, practiced law on Wall Street prior to becoming an investment banker and turnaround specialist.

    According to Welsh, Operant's product line will grow significantly over the next 12 months. "Although Operant Material Solutions currently specializes in the sales, service and rental of new and used lift trucks and related equipment, our business model will soon expand to incorporate a full offering of material handling equipment and services," Welsh said.
