Camrose Pipe Company Reaches New Labor Agreement
PORTLAND, Ore.--June 5, 2003--Oregon Steel Mills Inc. announced that a new three-year collective bargaining agreement between Camrose Pipe Company and Local #551 of the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) was reached. The union ratification vote was 84% in favor of the new contract.The contract is retroactive to Feb. 1, 2003, and is for a term of three years with an expiration date of Jan. 31, 2006. The agreement includes wage increases in each of the three years as well as improvements in pensions and benefits.
Oregon Steel Mills, Inc. is organized into two divisions. The Oregon Steel Division produces steel plate, coil and welded pipe from plants located in Portland, Oregon, Napa, California and Camrose, Alberta, Canada. The Rocky Mountain Steel Mills Division, located in Pueblo, Colorado, produces steel rail, rod, bar, and tubular products.
