New Aqueduct, Inc. VP Brought in to Extend Application Service Provider Offering
ALISO VIEJO, Calif., June 5 -- Aqueduct, Inc., a leading application service provider (ASP) of web-hosted sales and marketing solutions, announced today the appointment of PJ Bellomo to the newly created position of Vice President, Strategic Development.
Bellomo has been brought in to the company to shift emphasis from a "what they do" strategy to a "how they do it" tack. Aqueduct's value proposition focuses on delivering speed and scale to clients in need of e-commerce, sell-side order management or partner relationship management applications. Bellomo will craft strategy to identify how Aqueduct can provide clients low-cost, quick implementations of solutions with minimal capital outlay and a prompt return on investment.
Bellomo will oversee staff in product management, marketing, and sales engineering and he will be responsible for charting the strategic roadmap for the company. He will lead a focused expansion into new vertical markets beyond automotive and technology, along with a reshaping of the company's core ASP value proposition.
"Based on working with PJ previously at Avnet, I know we share the same philosophy when it comes to utilizing an application service provider like ours," said Rob Hagen, chief executive of Aqueduct. "In many cases, buying software, hardware, and consulting time is just a bad business decision. PJ will map our strategy and solutions with that philosophy as his guiding principle."
Most recently, PJ was the Vice President of Advisory Services at iSuppli. At Avnet, he held the positions of Vice President Global Supply Chain and Vice President e-commerce. Prior to that, he spent nine years at A.D. Little in technology and strategic management consulting and he commenced his career with a three-year engineering assignment at a GE manufacturing plant in upstate NY. He holds both BS and MS degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
"Aqueduct has an A-list client roster who will attest to how good this company is at delivering the tough stuff," said PJ Bellomo. "But what Aqueduct doesn't explain well is how easy it is to engage in these complex deliverables with very little pain. Rob and I have joked about forming the 'no software alliance' to really emphasize the simple but robust solutions the company offers. It's time to get the word out about winning without software."
