General Physics Corporation Forms SkillRight, Inc.; New Subsidiary Addresses the Training and Technical Needs of Organizations with Represented Workforces

    ELKRIDGE, Md.--June 4, 2003--General Physics Corporation (GP), a subsidiary of GP Strategies Corporation , has formed a new subsidiary, SkillRight, Inc.
    SkillRight's initial focus is on the represented workforce of the automotive industry, providing training analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation services to automotive manufacturers, their distribution and service sectors and Tier 1 suppliers of parts and equipment.
    SkillRight's personnel, represented by UAW-TOP, have extensive plant floor experience, and expertise in instructional technology and organizational design. GP's 18 years of experience in the automotive market and the understanding of the challenges organizations face to stay competitive, uniquely position SkillRight to provide training services that will assist UAW members in developing and maintaining world-class skills and knowledge.

    John Bresnahan, who will continue as a GP vice president of operations for manufacturing services, will head the new subsidiary as president. SkillRight's offices are located in Sterling Heights, MI, and Merrillville and Carmel, IN.
