Budco Designs Official Registration Web Site for Ford Centennial

Information Technologies Department Drives Complex Functionality, Back End Fulfillment

DETROIT, June 4 -- Budco, the Highland Park based marketing and distribution company, has been instrumental in Ford Motor Company's "The Road Is Ours" 100th Anniversary Celebration. From a strategic execution perspective, the company has been responsible for several critical activities:

  -- Processing ticket sales and other guest requests
  -- Fulfilling customized registration packets

Budco's Information Technologies department, using state-of-the-art Internet, database and digital print technologies, is the linchpin that has enabled Budco to execute the processes with precision.

A complex registration web site was designed first, allowing guests to register for the Centennial celebration, selecting from a myriad of activities and attractions. Additionally time slots had to be scheduled, and a provision needed to be made for secure credit card processing. To date there have been over 70,000 online registrations with over one million actual hits to the site.

Data captured drives the personalization and variability of registration packets that are assembled and sent to guests. Digital print technology is used to customize the multiple components of the packets and confirmation emails are sent to registrants, detailing scheduled activities, with a link to UPS' web site, for tracking purposes.

Besides the web site, registration, personalization and fulfillment processes, Budco's Creative department designed and produced a number of communication materials to support the Centennial, including the decoration for Ford Motor Company's Regent Court Headquarters, Dearborn, MI.
